Approach.
You’ll find that nearly every design company describes itself in the same way: driven by ideas, demonstrates creative excellence, produces compellingly simple and effective solutions, adds value to business, works closely with its clients. In that respect, Neil Tinson Studio is no different. Where Neil Tinson Studio differs is that it has a full-time staff of just one: me.
But this is a rare occasion when working independently brings extra benefits. It results in a crafted attention to detail, and means I can partner up with the most relevant, skilled people to suit the needs of each project. These might be photographers, illustrators, copywriters, typographers, 3D experts, programmers, strategic consultants, or even other designers – Neil Tinson Studio isn’t bound by an expensive team of staff with limits to their experience or skills. It also means the lower overheads get passed directly on to my clients.

Biography.
Although founded back in 2003 as a freelance practice, Neil Tinson Studio launched as a fully-operational design company in January 2007.
Straight after graduating I joined Thirteen; a highly respected graphic design company in Bristol. Three years later I moved to Falmouth and a position at Cornwall’s largest agency, Gendall, for over two years.
Since starting out I’ve had the privilege of working with companies such as Barclays, BBC, Bristol Old Vic, Cornwall Enterprise, Defra, Objective One, Orange and Pendennis.
I’m Chair of the Cornwall Design Forum and committee member of the South West Design Forum. I’m a member of D&AD (British Design & Art Direction), ISTD (International Society of Typographic Designers) and The Typographic Circle, and a Fellow of the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, manufactures & commerce). I’ve also taught at both the University of Gloucestershire and University College Falmouth.
